Last Word
Ingredients :
¾ oz (22 ml) gin (juniper/herbaceous/spicy)
¾ oz (22 ml) Luxardo Maraschino liqueur
¾ oz (22 ml) green Chartreuse
¾ oz (22 ml) fresh lime juice
Maraschino cranberry (for garnish)
Preparation :
In a shaker, mix all the ingredients with ice.
Strain through a fine strainer into a chilled cup.
Garnish with a maraschino cherry.
About our Last Word
The creation of this cocktail, which dates back to the Prohibition era, is generally attributed to the Detroit Athletic Club, but it is to Murray Stenson of the Zig Zag Cafe in Seattle that we owe its comeback in 2004. The magic of the Last Word lies in its simplicity: four ingredients, in equal parts, which create perfect harmony.
